The Greater Capital Region Track, Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame

OPERATING PROCEDURE

The Capital Region Track and Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame was founded to provide recognition to those athletes, coaches, and officialswho have achieved superlative performances or have made significant contributions to the history and growth of these sports in the Greater Capital Region area of upstate New York.

Organizational Structure:

The Capital Region Track and Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame organizational structure shall consist of a President, Treasurer, and between six and ten trustees.

Timeline for Hall of Fame Selections:

On our about January 5, the committee will convene to review plans for the year and make it known that the Hall of Fame will be accepting nominations. The President will be responsible for media and other contacts related to soliciting nominations for the year. Nominations will be accepted through April 15.

Potential inductees will be informed of their nomination for the Hall of Fame. On or about the third week of April, the selection committee will meet to choose inductees for that year.

The Induction Ceremony will be held in the fall of each year.

The nomination materials of unsuccessful nominees will remain active for subsequent review for three years.
